About

I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in southern California. I have provided speech therapy intervention to clients ranging from pediatric to geriatric age ranges.

In addition to providing services designated in the SLPs' treatment plans, I have also done clerical duties (such as verifying if the patients have current authorizations for speech therapy, scheduling appointments, etc.), helping create materials for therapy, and working in collaboration with my fellow paraprofessionals such as OTs/OTAs and PTs/PTAs. My previous work experiences included working for the UCLA's Office for Student's with Disabilities, doing research at UCLA and UCI, and working as a Children's Social Worker Trainee for LA County's Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

I am a current member of the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA). In the summer of 2021, I was the 2021-2022 SLPA Representative to the CSHA Board as well as part of the Professional Practices Advisory Committee where I participated in board meetings, was a co-panelist for a CSHA Convos (a virtual space for conversations related to the field) session in 2021, and was a co-panelist for a session at the CSHA Convergence 2022.

I am a current member of the Jane Austen Society of North America and am the current Board member Secretary for the JASNA-Southwest Region. As a Board member, I participate in Board member only meetings, create and update Board minutes and other Board member related documents, help in planning JASNA-Southwest events (both in-person and virtual events), and am an active volunteer at these events. I was even a co-panelist/speaker at the first in-person (post-Pandemic) JASNA-Southwest event back in 2022. I am also a member of a JASNA Southwest Reading Group where we read Jane Austen novels and other books with fellow JASNA members.

I am a current member of the Red Hat Society as a Pink Hatter (someone under 50).  Not only have I participated in Red Hat Society events, but I also have helped plan and coordinate events within the chapter I was in as well as with sister chapters within the Orange County and sometimes LA County areas. As of January of 2026, I am a Red Hat Society Ambassador.
